Mark Tait

I began working in education in 2005 following a 20-year career in financial services, mainly as a bank manager. Since 2005 I have worked in a secure children’s home, a local authority early years’ team, a first school, a middle school, a high school and a 6th form. I am currently the Business Director for The Three Rivers Learning Trust.

In each of my education roles I have added to my learning from my financial services career and now feel that I can confidently:

  • Understand and influence the strategic planning of education
  • Audit both the needs and resources of an education establishment
  • Identify gaps in the services supporting the delivery of strategic outcomes
  • Plan and implement change to remove these gaps
  • Fundraise for and deliver the resources required to provide outstanding education
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of people
  • Manage change positively to help everyone involved engage and support the process
  • Apply a range of leadership styles appropriate to particular situations
  • Facilitate a range of professions to work together to achieve the effective delivery of strategic outcomes
  • Develop effective professional staff and teams that enhance education provision
